Rosie is simply ecstatic to be finally mounting Frankenstein, after being with the project for almost 3 years! Rosie is an award-winning performer originally hailing from Tiohtià:ke (Montreal). Rosie just finished up her first season with the Gros Morne Theatre Festival in Newfoundland, and is so excited to be back in her hometown for this incredible show. She is a graduate of both Dawson College’s Professional Theatre program (Valedictorian) and of Randolph College for the Performing Arts. Arun’s love of acting goes way back to when he would perform William Wallace narration pieces from Age of Empires II to amuse his family at parties. It took two decades and a detour into studying neuroscience at the University of Toronto before those little spores of performance mania truly took hold, but he now counts himself firmly in the clutches of the dramatic arts.

He has had the enormous privilege of performing on historic Toronto stages like Theatre Passe Muraille and Alumnae Theatre, the gateway of indie Montreal theatre at the Mainline, the Conservatory, the Segal Centre, and most recently the Centaur Theatre. Since coming to Montréal four years ago, he has diversified his performance media, gaining the opportunity to be a part of three TV shows (Future Man, The Bold Type, About Sex). Most recently, he has dived deep into the exciting world of voice performance in animation and video games, and he hopes that in the next four years he might have the opportunity to wade deeper into this rich and exciting field. Arun is very excited to be a part of this most brain-tingling and funny-bone-tickling production of “Frankenstein”. He hopes you enjoy the show!

L’amour d’Arun pour le théâtre remonte à l’époque où il interprétait des morceaux de narration de William Wallace dans Age of Empires II pour amuser sa famille lors de fêtes. Il lui a fallu deux décennies et un détour par des études en neurosciences à l’Université de Toronto pour que ces petites spores de la manie de la performance s’installent vraiment, mais il se compte maintenant fermement dans les griffes de l’art dramatique.

Il a eu l’immense privilège de se produire sur des scènes historiques de Toronto, comme le Theatre Passe Muraille et l’Alumnae Theatre, ainsi qu’aux portes du théâtre indépendant de Montréal, au Mainline, au Conservatory, au Centre Segal et, plus récemment, au Centaur Theatre. Depuis qu’il est arrivé à Montréal il y a quatre ans, il a diversifié ses moyens d’expression et a eu l’occasion de participer à trois émissions de télévision (Future Man, The Bold Type, About Sex). Plus récemment, il a plongé dans le monde passionnant de la performance vocale dans l’animation et les jeux vidéo, et il espère que dans les quatre prochaines années, il aura l’occasion de patauger plus profondément dans ce domaine riche et passionnant. Rick Miller is a Dora and Gemini award-winning writer/director/actor/musician/educator who has performed in five languages on five continents, and who Entertainment Weekly called “one of the 100 most creative people alive today”. He has created and toured solo shows such as the BOOM Trilogy (BOOM, BOOM X, and BOOM YZ), MacHomer, Bigger Than Jesus and HARDSELL; and family shows with Craig Francis and Kidoons, such as Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea, Jungle Book, and Frankenstein. With Robert Lepage, he has collaborated on Geometry of Miracles, Zulu Time, Lipsynch, and on the film Possible Worlds. Current projects in development include MONEY, Andersen Fairy Tales and Rose Red – a new musical. Rick hosts an intergenerational podcast called Xing The Gap, and sometimes teaches an interdisciplinary class at the University of Toronto called The Architecture of Creativity. Paul is thrilled to have teamed up with Rick and Craig to help create this exciting reimagining of Mary Shelley’s classic tale of terror! A recent graduate of UBC’s Masters in Creative Writing, Paul is a writer, director, performer and Artistic Director of Rabbit in a Hat Productions, a Montreal based theatre company with a mandate to produce new Canadian plays. Paul has received numerous awards including; The Tom Hendry Playwrights Guild of Canada Comedy Award; The Montreal English Critics Circle Revelation Award; The Montreal English Theatre Awards Outstanding Direction; The New York Frigid Festival, Atlantic Fringe Festival, and Montreal Fringe Festival Best Production Award. Paul is a past participant of the Neil Munro Intern Directors Project at the Shaw Festival, the Lincoln Center generated Directors Lab Mediterranean in Beirut, and a past National Forum Representative of Quebec for the Playwrights Guild of Canada. An intrepid world traveler, Paul has visited over eighty countries, traversing such routes as the Trans-Siberian Railway, the Ancient Silk Road Trail, and the Medieval Trans-Saharan Trade Route.

Sabrina is a set, costume and puppet designer originally from the west coast of Canada. Previous production designs for Geordie include From the Stars in the Sky to the Fish in the Sea, Around the World in 80 Days, the fundraisers The Trial of Robin Hood and It’s a Wonderful Life, and costumes and props for The Halloween Tree. Set and puppet designs include Alice in Wonderland (Dawson College), Little Shop of Horrors (Côte Saint-Luc Dramatic Society), and Which is Best? (Bazooka Theatre), and other theatre for all ages production designs Animal Farm, Silverwing (Kaleidoscope Theatre), and Bluenose (Black Theatre Workshop). This is Sabrina’s first design with Kidoons.

Irina is a creative artist, graphic designer for print and web, and video production artist. She has worked on multimedia campaigns for Performing Arts Centers across Canada and the U.S. and managed event marketing campaigns ranging from The Joy of Dance Studio Toronto to TELUS Skins. Irina has been a longstanding multimedia collaborator with Rick Miller and Craig Francis, including assisting on onscreen media projections for MacHomer, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea, and Game of Clones. Recent work includes branding and projections media design for BOOM X and BOOM YZ, for which she was nominated alongside Rick Miller and Nicolas Dostie for the Betty Mitchell Award for Outstanding Projection or Video Design. Irina is the multimedia designer for Jungle Book, Frankenstein, and upcoming projects Andersen Fairy Tales and Rose Red. As a web and video production artist, Irina is the designer and production editor of the Kidoons Network animated series.

He has won seven Dora Awards, the 1999 Pauline McGibbon Award, and was the first sound designer ever shortlisted for the Siminovitch Prize, in 2012. She is the recipient of 9 Dora Mavor Moore Awards and 2 Montreal English Theatre Awards for Outstanding Lighting Design. She has worked extensively with the National Arts Centre, Shaw Festival, Tarragon Theatre, Soulpepper Theatre, Canadian Stage, Necessary Angel Theatre, among others. At Centaur Theatre she has recently designed The 39 Steps, Choir Boy, Constellations and Last Wife and at Geordie Theatre she designed Instant, Chloe’s Choice, The Odyssey and The Iliad. Andrea is proud to have been Director of the Production Design and Technical Arts Program at the National Theatre School of Canada for the last 11 years.

Julian Smith is a recent graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada’s Production Design and Technical Arts Program. A born and bred Newfoundlander now living in Quebec, Julian is curious about all facets of Management and Design. Julian and his company “This Might be Satire Productions” are recent recipients of The Canada Council of the Arts Concept to Realization for a show in current development. Recent select credits include- APM and ASM Wonderbolt International Circus Festival (Wonderbolt). Assistant Sound and Video Designer Everybody Just Calm the F*ck Down (Artistic Fraud) and Sound and Video Designer Out of It (Rising Tide). Thomas Giroux (He/Him) is honored to be working with Kidoons and Geordie theatre for the very first time. He is taking on the dual roles of Production Manager and Technical Director for Frankenstein, A Living Comic Book. Thomas is currently completing his second year of an Independent Residency at the National Theatre School. Thomas joins us from Alberta where he has worked in the arts for ten years as a lighting technician. He spent time at the Banff Centre, at the Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Performing arts Centre, and with the Alberta Ballet.

Thomas Giroux (il/lui) est honoré de travailler avec Kidoons et le théâtre Geordie pour la toute première fois. Il assume le double rôle de directeur de production et de directeur technique pour Frankenstein, A Living Comic Book. Thomas termine actuellement sa deuxième année de résidence indépendante à l’École nationale de théâtre. Jeff has a lifelong passion and vision for combining art and technology to develop original works. His projects are inspired by a love of storytelling and innovation. Through Kidoons theatrical productions, and digital works on the Kidoons Network, Jeff’s artist collaborators help organizations to tell their stories onstage and online. He works with Not-for-Profits and corporate clients across Canada and the United States with a vision to inspire and empower all generations. He dedicates his work on this play to his mother, Evelyn Lord.

Jeff a toujours eu la passion et la vision d’associer l’art et la technologie pour développer des œuvres originales. Ses projets sont inspirés par l’amour de la narration et de l’innovation. Grâce aux productions théâtrales de Kidoons et aux œuvres numériques du réseau Kidoons, les artistes collaborateurs de Jeff aident les organisations à raconter leur histoire sur scène et en ligne.
